Ha-Kona matata

After deserting the small-SUV space in 2015 when the ix35 was replaced with the larger Tucson, Hyundai is returning with a new baby-sized softroader the Kona. Named after a district of Hawaii, the Kona will be available in three grades with two petrol engines a 2.0-litre atmo and a 1.6 turbo with around 130kW. AEB will be available on all models (though only as a cost option on the base grade), with the top-shelf Kona scoring a head-up display. As for prices, expect it to align with the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3, meaning a low-$20K starter and a mid-$30K range-topper.
