Holden back in black, yet still seeing red

Holden announced a $152.8 million profit for the 2016 calendar year. It should be noted that the most recent cash injection is in part thanks to a $128.1 million payment from GM in the US, and $51.4 million from the Federal Government’s Automotive Transformation Scheme. Holden admits the cash boost wouldn’t have been enough to save local production — two consecutive years of losses totalling $961 million since 2013 backs that up.
