Holden has freshened its Trax small SUV with a more aggressive nose, meaning it’ll no longer be mistaken for a startled koala.
The thrashy 1.8 is now reserved for the base LS with a five-speed manual, leaving the 95RONfuelled 1.4-litre direct-injection turbo the only choice for those wanting an automatic.
Gone are the rear drums, replaced with discs that provide extra stopping confidence and consistency. LED DRLs, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and a new 7.0-inch touchscreen also debut, as well as a new centre console design.
Trax LT and LTZ get digital radio, while the top spec also has blindspot monitoring, but no reprieve for its clammy ‘Sportec’ vinyl trim.
