Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers used the Geneva show to drip-feed further details about the brand’s F1-infused hypercar, known as Project One. We now know its 1.6-litre V6 will rev to 11,000rpm and idle similarly to a road car, at 1280rpm. It’ll also boast electric components lifted directly from F1, including the battery cells and four motors – one on the crankshaft, one in the turbocharger and one each for the front wheels. A production run of 275 units is confirmed, each with an asking price of ¤2.275m (A$3.2m). Power figures are still off the table, though around 750kW is expected.
