Laser headlights. Thatís right, freakiní lasers.

The second-gen R8 supercar features a highbeam set of them that, rather than remove right-lane hogs at the press of a button so you can stretch the mid-mounted V10ís legs uninterrupted, complement the LED headlights to show the way forward at night with unprecedented accuracy and clarity. The R8 is expected to lob here in standard 397kW and Plus-sized 449kW states of tune.

Ford Focus RS

Itís been a long wait for Fordís most powerful production hatchback to arrive in Australia we first saw it in February 2015 and the countdown clock has been ticking ever since.

When the Volkswagen Golf R/Renaultsport Megane RS275 Trophy-R fighter lands mid-year, the $50,990 RSís stonking four-pot will pack 257kW, making it more powerful than the entry-level Mustang with which it shares its Ecoboost (thatís Ford speak for turbocharged) engine.
