BMWs Aussie GT assault

BMW will contest the 2016 Australian GT Championship with an M6 GT3. Campaigned by Steven Richards Motorsport, and with the 2015 Bathurst 1000 winner himself at the wheel, the factory-supported entry will see the 430kW twin-turbo V8 M6 as a flying billboard for BMW, which the company hopes will attract both local and international customers particularly Asia-Pacific gentlemen racers with a full support program including driving tuition from the four-times Bathurst winner. The synergy also ties in with Stevens dad, Jim, who won the 1985 Australian Touring Car Championship driving a BMW 635 CSi.
