THE BMW M2 will start at $89,900 when it arrives in the second quarter. Thatís $10K less than the 1 Series M Coupe (sold here in limited numbers in 2011), and with 22kW more power Ė now 272kW from its turbo 3.0-litre straight-six Ė itís 0.4sec faster to 100km/h at 4.5sec. Better still, for $98,900 ($1000 less than the old manual-only 1M) youíll cut that to 4.3sec with the only 2 Series to score a dual-clutch transmission. Both models come with the M active diff, brakes and 19-inch alloys. Who needs an M4?
