Porsche has confirmed it will build the pureelectric Mission E car previewed at the 2105 Frankfurt motor show. The four-door sports car concept is powered by a 600bhp, 800-volt dualmotor electric drivetrain with all-wheel drive.
While the production spec is to be confirmed, Porsche has promised 0-100km/h in “less than 3.5sec” and a top speed beyond 250km/h. “With Mission E, we are making a clear statement about the future of the brand,” said Porsche board chairman Wolfgang Porsche. Sadly, that future won’t be in showrooms until 2020.
