Reborn S2000 locked in

A senior Honda designer let slip to us that a replacement for the much-loved S2000 is definitely coming, and he’s been working on it.

The company’s new CEO, Takahiro Hachigo, was, we were assured by our source, utterly determined to bring back the company’s sporting past and wanted a three-car range of hot two-doors. The NSX would sit at the top, the Japan-only S660 at the pert bottom (see First Drives), and a new S2000 in the middle.

Timing wise, the new S2000 roadster is part of a the “2020 vision”.
