Cleaner and smarter

MASERATI has upgraded the petrol engines in its four-door Ghibli and Quattroporte models to comply with stricter Euro 6 emissions standards.

Performance is unchanged across the range, but the revised engines use slightly less fuel, in part because they now have idle-stop functions to shut them down when stationary.

Maserati has also focused on improving active safety features, though in a limited way. Both cars get blind-spot alert and rear cross-traffic alert, for example, but no lane-departure warning or auto-braking capability.
