Aussie gamerís new post

GOING from being an Aussie Post contractor to a professional race driver seems farfetched, but thatís what 26-year-old Matthew Simmons has done by becoming the first Aussie to win Nissanís gamer-to-racer GT Academy competition. Simmons took victory in the final at Silverstone in the UK to earn a factory drive at next yearís Dubai 24 Hours and a shot at becoming a full-time Nissan driver.

The GT Academy has a proven record of turning gifted gamers into pro racers, with three former winners driving Nissan LMP1 prototypes in this yearís Le Mans 24 Hours.
