Jeepís renegades

THE fallout from Wired magazineís remote hack of a Jeep Cherokee has sparked a recall of 1.4 million Fiat Chrysler Automobiles models across the US. Hackers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek (left) took control of a Cherokee remotely on a laptop and posted a video of them steering the car on a freeway and driving it off the road.

The purpose of the experiment was to raise the issue of cyber-security as cars boast increasingly greater reliance on electronics and become more vulnerable to attack.
