Toyota has closed its books on the 2014/15 financial year with a $194 million profit on the back of strong local vehicle sales, and booming exports Ė 70 percent of the cars coming down its Altona production line headed overseas.

On the other hand, Ford Australia recently announced a $191 million loss for its secondlast full year as a carmaker, while at the time of writing, Holden was yet to announce if it had stemmed the bleeding from a $553 million loss racked up in 2013.
