Holden on to Cruze?

THE new Chevrolet Cruze has been revealed ahead of its 2017 on-sale date in the US, but Holden is yet to officially confirm whether the nameplate will survive in Australia. The newgen Cruze is longer, lower and lighter than the current locally built model, which is based on the ageing Delta II platform and will cease Australian production by 2017. With Opelís new Astra set to debut at the Frankfurt show in September, and Holden keen to flesh out its range with GM Europeís Golf fighter, the next-gen Cruze has a slim chance of coming here as a price leader.
