IT WAS with great excitement that I read Chrysler is considering resurrecting the Charger name for the Australasian market. It would certainly be very clever marketing if a right-hand drive Challenger, Hellcat or not, was rebadged Down Under as a Chrysler Charger.
The Charger remains one of Australia’s most significant and iconic cars, with a strong and unabated following in both Australia and New Zealand.
So how about it, Chrysler?
And while you’re at it, you could launch the new Charger with that brilliant “Hey Charger!” advertising campaign that took Australia by storm back in 1971.
