FIRST he was the Raging Bull, now Robert De Niro will turn his talents to the Prancing Horse, playing Enzo Ferrari in a movie due out in 2016. The 71-year-old Hollywood legend – widely regarded as the world’s best actor – will tackle the challenge of playing Il Commendatore from age 47 to 90.

“It’s an honour and a joy for me to tell the life of an extraordinary man who revolutionised the automotive world across different historical and social periods,” De Niro said, adding Ferrari “has absolute priority over all my other projects”. Fellow Oscar winner Clint Eastwood is tipped to direct.
