Holden sells another HQ

HOLDEN’S purpose-built headquarters at 191-197 Salmon Street, Port Melbourne, has been sold for “more than $85 million” in the biggest Melbourne property deal of 2015.

Altis Property Partners, the same group that purchased 251-261 Salmon Street – where the first 48/215 Holden rolled off the production line – from Holden in 2014, bought the site.

Holden will continue to operate from the 23,960m2 site as a long-term tenant while downsizing its workforce ahead of the end of its Australian manufacturing operations in 2017.
