YES, it’s true – Skoda’s built a ute. Created for the annual Worthersee Festival that attracts thousands of VW-philes to Austria, the Skoda Fabia ute is the result of 23 apprentices flexing their creative muscle. Called the Fabia FUNstar, the baby ute has seen the hatch hacked and Skoda-ness added through green highlights.
Riding in 18-inch alloys, it also has LEDs mounted along its flanks, with green LED DRLs, too. Sadly, it’s no mini-Maloo, with a 1.2-litre under the bonnet. We’d love to see an RS version, but of course this Fabia is not for production.
