THE next Chevrolet Camaro will be shown for the first time on May 16. Holden has confirmed it will have a V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive, dedicated sports car in its future line-up, with the new sixthgeneration Camaro a potential choice. Rumoured to have 338kW from its Corvette-sourced 6.2-litre Gen V V8 – more than the Ford Mustang GT’s 303kW 5.0-litre V8 – Camaro will ride on GM’s new lighter and stiffer Alpha platform. While the Camaro is not confirmed for Australia, the Mustang arrives in December from $45K. Head to WheelsMag.com.au on 16 May for Camaro details.
