Nissan Juke

Five years old to the month but still as out-there as it ever was, Nissan’s quirky Juke is set to be refreshed with new colours, wheels, lights, and a new engine. The entry-level ST dumps its atmo 1.6 (still used for CVT models) for an 85kW/190Nm 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo four tied to a manual ’box. All front-drive Jukes get 40 percent more boot space, while the AWD 1.6 turbo has a new CVT and more torque.

MAY-JUNE 2015

Audi A3 e-tron, A1 and Q3 updates; BMW X5M and X6M; Jaguar XE; Kia Proceed GT update; Land Rover Discovery Sport; Mercedes-Benz V-Class and AMG S65 Coupe; Mini Cooper S JCW; Mitsubishi Challenger; Range Rover Sport SVR; Skoda Fabia; Ssangyong Tivoli; Suzuki Vitara

Range Rover Sport SVR

The SVR is designed to take on the aftermarket tuners making a motza, so instead of your ‘Overfinch’ or ‘Twisted’ Sport, head to your official dealer for this: a Nurburgring-tested 405kW/680Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8 monster priced from $218,500. That gives you the most powerful Land Rover in the company’s history, with a 4.7sec 0-100km/h claim riding on its pimped 21-inch wheels.
