Rolls-Royce SUV coming

Rolls-Royce has confirmed it will build an SUV, set to go on sale in 2017. The SUV market is so lucrative that even the famed British brand, owned by BMW, will enter the fray using an aluminium intensive bespoke platform. That means it won’t simply be a restyled BMW X7 – the larger stablemate of the X5/X6 – but a stand-alone product, says Rolls-Royce. The company is already twisting words, not referring to its new product line as an SUV, but as Sir or Madam would have it, said machine is officially a “high-bodied car.”
