THE Ford Mustang will start at $44,990 when it goes on sale Down Under later this year. That’s the ask for the six-speed manual coupe powered by the 233kW 2.3-litre turbo four-cylinder ‘EcoBoost’. An automatic transmission is $3K on top, and if you want a V8, you’ll need $54,990 for the manual GT coupe. The convertible Mustang will be offered only in automatic, with the EcoBoost $54K and the V8 GT model $64K.
The pricing makes the Mustang a shade more expensive than both the $42,990 Falcon XR6 Turbo and $55K Falcon XR8 automatic.
