IT occurred to me that most of the cars that have adopted idle-stop are turbo cars.

Being the owner of a VW Golf diesel turbo, I make sure never to turn off the engine after it has worked hard, allowing the turbo to spool down before the oil is turned off. I donít have a turbo timer as I donít race the thing and itís rarely under heavy load.

Many may not be aware of this aspect of turbo cars, and I wonder if idle-stop will present engine longevity issues?
