THE NEW Subaru Outback has landed and itís much more affordable than before. Now the sole wagon, with Liberty only available as a sedan, the flagship new-gen Outback has had $10K lopped off its starting price, now $47,990. Every new Outback variant is at least $2000 cheaper than its predecessor, with the base Outback 2.5i starting at $35,990, a $3K price drop. The pencil has been sharpened on the new Liberty, too, which starts at $29,990 for the base 2.5i model, a saving of $3K, while the flagship Liberty 3.6R has had an astonishing $14K slashed from its list price, now $41,990. All of this with better looks and efficiency.
