PEUGEOT Australia has requested more 30th edition 208 GTIs after its allocation of 26 cars sold out before they even arrived here.
The Aussie-bound batch sold out within two months, but with only 500 offered globally, Peugeot Oz is chasing limited stock. The number of left- and right-hookers isnít certain, so thereís no guarantee we will see any more after the current shipment arrives.
Shown at the 2014 Paris show in October, the 30th Edition isnít simply a sticker pack. The hot 208 gets a 10mm-lower ride height, wider front and rear tracks, a Torsen LSD and upgraded brakes.
While thereís no more power from the 147kW/275Nm 1.6-litre turbo four, the changes are enough to slice 0.3sec from the 0-100km/h claim, now 6.5sec.
Most impressive is that the hot hatch sold out before an official price was announced.
