Hydrogen car tests in Oz

HYUNDAI is testing its ix35 fuel-cell vehicle in Australia. The Korean-built, hydrogen-powered ix35 is one of the world’s first mass-produced fuel-cell vehicles, and its arrival has triggered Australia’s first hydrogen refuelling station to be installed at Hyundai Australia’s head office in Sydney. Each refill is enough to give the ix35’s 100kW/300Nm electric motor a 594km range.

“We see no reason why Australians should not enjoy the same environmental solutions as consumers in other markets,” said Hyundai Australia boss Charlie Kim.
