BMW boss Norbert Reithofer will step down in May 2015 after eight years at the helm. He will be replaced by production executive Harald Kruger. Reithofer (right) was expected to step down in 2016, when his current contract concludes, but his interest in joing German FORD’S given the Focus a facelift. He has headed BMW since 2006 and seen BMW become the top-selling premium brand globally, with BMW Group – including Mini and Rolls-Royce – posting record sales in 2014 to top Audi and Mercedes.
