MONROE MONEY

Dion Benis Email

After looking everywhere for a bit of guidance without success, I’m hoping you guys might be able to help.

There’s an HK Monaro 186 (non-GTS), in pieces, but complete, with a rough body.

It needs a full resto.

The owner is interested in selling it ‘if the price is right’.

What would the pricing range be for this car?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

ED: Cliff Chambers, who values cars for a living, says: “$2000-20,000 depending on how rough it is and what’s missing. Impossible to value things like this without photos but that’s the range I’d be working within. Bear in mind that even a car that is pretty much all solid metal will cost around $50,000 to restore and one that needs lots of panel work will more than double that cost.”

Hope that’s of some help Dion.
