Fancy an epic road trip in the company of some of Australia’s greatest muscle cars while raising money for leukaemia research? The Aussie Muscle Car Run, in partnership with Bridgestone, is organising two forthcoming events for cars from the classic era of Australian muscle, roughly 1963 to 1977 although rules can be bent if you’ve got something outside that period. It all benefits a worthy cause after all.
First up is the Western Australian event on 24-30th October, starting in Perth and tripping down to Mandurah, with a hillclimb and some track action at Collie Motorplex and Barbagallo along the way. Alternatively, there’s the traditional South Australia event on 9-15th November heading out of Adelaide and looping past Broken Hill to Whyalla, with circuit action at Mallala Motorpsort Park, a drag race at the Steel City Drag Club and closed road running in Port Augusta. Last year’s run raised over half a million dollars, so if you like the sound of that action, rev the old browser up and point it at aussiemusclecarrun.com
