MERCEDES-AMG has teased a Ferrari-fighting new hero version of its GT supercar. Jump on motormag.com.au right now where pics, power outputs and all the nitty gritty will be awaiting (released just after we closed this issue for press). We know itíll score a big rear wing, gaping new front bar and what appears to be a carbonfibre roof. Of course itíll probably smoke the base 375kW AMG GT. Importantly, itís not the modern day successor to the SLS Black Series Ė nope, that oneís still coming, apparently.
BRABUS has declared war on wigs with a 625kW take on the S-Class Cabriolet. Starting with Mercedes-AMGís S63, Brabus has stroked the 850 Cabrioís 5.5-litre V8 to 6.0 litres with a forged rotating assembly. New turbos, exhaust, and intake parts help extract 1450Nm from the engine, but Brabus permits it to only 1150Nm to save the seven-speed auto. Itís claimed 100km/h drops in 3.5sec on the way to a 350km/h top speed.
But if youíre keen to add more than power, Brabus also offer a carbon fibre aero kit, 21-inch wheels, and redesigned interior.
