WE’VE become familiar with Prado Altitude special editions, but Toyota has applied it to the Land Cruiser 200 for the first time.

Based on the GXL turbo-diesel, the Land Cruiser Altitude gets leather interior, power front seats, refrigerated centre console cool box, chrometipped air vents, and brushed alloy dash and centre console inserts.

The Altitude also has an LED Optitron dash, incorporating a 4.2-inch multi-information display, as used in high-grade Land Cruiser models. On the outside are LED fog lights, rain-sensing wipers and Altitude decals.

Just 600 Land Cruiser 200 Altitudes will be built, each selling for $93,460 (plus on-road costs), $4630 more than the GXL. Colours available include black, premium white, silver, graphite and blue shades.
